Integration of Active Directory/LDAP authentication system in order to automate access to Piwik analytics platform; platform customisation to implement WCAG 2.0 and WAI-ARIA accessibility.
Our Customer had two goals: on one side, to upgrade their Piwik platform so that it could conform to accessibility guidelines according to WCAG 2.0 and WAI-ARIA standards. On the other, they needed to integrate their own, Active Directory/LDAP-based security system with Piwik platform so that access to platform could be totally transparent to users.
Our team analysed the WCAG/ WAI-ARIA level of detail the resulting platform had to conform to, and defined specifications on communication between Customer proprietary authentication system and Piwik portal authentication. It then developed the envisioned solution, constantly in contact with Customer representative and heading the project together towards the needed results.
Our Customer has now a Piwik portal that conforms to accessibility laws and is accessed by thousands of users from hundreds of branch offices on a daily basis. Furthermore, portal new version is perfectly integrated with Customer security system, so much that they completely eliminated errors and latencies due to manual user access.
